I had the opportunity to do a quick overnight backpack trip with a friend of mine that was in town from California last week. We went up Little Cottonwood Canyon to a small mountain lake called Red Pine Lake. Its a 3 mile hike up and has a decent amount of elevation gain. Enough to get a break from the 100 degree temperatures we have been getting in the Salt Lake Valley lately. I didn’t shoot much, was trying to take a bit of a break from but couldn’t resist and did get a nice shot at dusk that I liked. We had a good trip and its always a good day when you can be in the mountains.
